Lorenzo Giorio

Doctoral researcher

Lorenzo Giorio graduated in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology at the University of Trieste (Italy) in December 2021. During his studies, he did an internship at the IRCCS Burlo Garofolo Hospital (Trieste, Italy), where he focused on testing the effect of immunosuppressive drugs on intestinal organoids derived from pediatric patients with inflammatory bowel disease. As an international research fellow at the TARGID research center, Lorenzo Giorio is now working on the testing of in development drugs for IBD on patient derived intestinal organoids.
