Wat is IBD?

The mission of the IBD Group in Leuven is to provide the best care for patients with inflammatory bowel disease in all its aspects, using a multidisciplinary approach. We commit to provide the most appropriate and evidence-based therapy for patients with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. By supporting clinical trial developmental programs, we want to be at the forefront of improving existing therapies, and providing novel therapies to IBD patients. We want to advance the current understanding on the pathogenesis of the disease, we commit strongly to train young clinicians and/or researchers to improve the current care of IBD patients. Our multidisciplinary approach also encourages PhD students to dynamically explore the link between science and disease.
