Caitlin Van de Perre

Caitlin graduated in Biomedical Sciences at the Catholic University of Leuven in June 2025. During her master, she specialized in the field of basic and translational sciences. In October 2025, she started her PhD at the IBD research team, where she focuses on decoding epithelial keratinization transition in perianal Crohn's Disease fistulas. She uses patient-derived organoids, multi-omics and aims to develop a fistula-on-a-chip model.
